Banana Ginger Chutney Recipe

  1. Peel and cut the bananas and onions into small pcs; chop the dates into small pcs.
  2. Combine the bananas, onions and dates with the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  3. Turn mix into a stone casserole or possibly crock and cook this mix, uncovered, in a 325F.
  4. oven till it is a rich brown in color, about 1 hour.
  5. Ladle into warm sterilized jars and seal immediately.
  6. This may be used with meats or possibly with lowfat sour cream in crepes.
