Macrobiotic Apple & Walnut Pound Cake
- 200 grams Whole wheat flour
- 150 grams Apples (net weight)
- 100 ml Soy milk
- 50 grams Maple syrup
- 50 grams Vegetable oil
- 50 grams Walnuts (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 dash Cinnamon powder
- Heat a Teflon-coated pot on low heat, and gently stir fry the apples till the water starts to evaporate.
- Once they're done, sprinkle the cinnamon powder on top and set them aside.
- Combine together the soy milk, maple syrup, and oil in a bowl.
- Next add in the whole wheat flour and baking powder and mix with cutting motions.
- Now fold in the apples from Step 1 and add the walnuts.
- Pour the batter into a pan; the surface will be a bit uneven.
- Now bake at 180C for about 30 minutes and it's done!
