Budget Friendly Recipe: Sweet and Savory Ginger Pork on Rice

  1. Cut the cucumber into thin strips.
  2. Rub salt, and set aside.
  3. Squeeze out well, and discard the liquid.
  4. Shred the shimeji mushrooms.
  5. Cut the pork offcuts into bite-sized pieces.
  6. Combine the seasonings marked .
  7. Grate the ginger and onion, and mix with the seasonings.
  8. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, add the pork, and fry until it's well-browned on both sides.
  9. Add the shimeji mushrooms and stir fry quickly.
  10. Mix the seasonings in Step 3 and simmer to reduce the sauce.
  11. Put the cucumber from Step 1 on top of the rice, and pipe on mayonnaise.
  12. Put the ingredients from Step 6 on top, and serve.
