Easy New England Clam Chowder #5FIX

  1. In a large skillet, over medium heat cook bacon until crispy.
  2. Remove bacon from pan and drain.
  3. (Leave 2 tablespoons bacon grease in pan.)
  4. Add potatoes to pan and cook until they start to brown.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Crumble bacon and add to potatoes.
  7. In a large pot, over low heat, combine clams and mushroom soup.
  8. Add potato mixture to pot and slowly add buttermilk until combined.
  9. Simmer for 5 minutes.
