Iowa Deer Steak Strips

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add mushrooms and onion, saute until tender, about 2 minutes.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon.
  4. Add remaining butter to skillet.
  5. Add steak.
  6. Saute for 4 minutes or until browned on all sides.
  7. Add chili sauce.
  8. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes or until tender.
  9. Blend flour with cold water.
  10. Stir into skillet.
  11. Cook, stirring continually, until mixture comes to a boil, about 3 minutes.
  12. Reduce heat; return mushrooms and onion to skillet.
  13. Add green beans to skillet, mix well.
  14. Heat to serving temperature, do not boil.
  15. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
  16. Serves 2-3, can be doubled.
