Half And Half Strawberry Pie Recipe

  1. Cap and wash strawberries.
  2. Put half of berries in saucepan and mash.
  3. Mix sugar and cornstarch, adding to strawberries which have been mashed.
  4. Add in lemon juice.
  5. Cook till mix is thick and translucent/soft.
  6. Cold.
  7. Cut the other half of the berries in half and fold into cooked mix.
  8. One hour before serving, pour into cooked pie shell; top with whipped cream and chill.
  9. The combination of cooked and raw berries gives a great flavor.
