Barbecued Appetizer Meatballs Recipe
- 3 lbs. grnd beef
- 2 c. quick oats, uncooked
- 2 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 (13 ounce.) can evaporated lowfat milk
- 2 c. finely minced onion
- 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 4 c. catsup
- 3 c. brown sugar
- 3 tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- Combine grnd beef, oats, Large eggs, lowfat milk, 1 c. onion, chili pwdr, salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp.
- garlic pwdr, mixing lightly.
- Shape into balls the size of a walnut.
- Place meatballs into two 13x9 baking dishes.
- Combine catsup, brown sugar, 1 c. onion, liquid smoke and 1 tsp.
- garlic pwdr, stirring till smooth.
- Pour proportionately over meatballs and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
- To serve: Transfer to a chafing dish.
- Makes about 100 meatballs.
