Aunt Linda's Soon To Be Famous Sauce Recipe
- 3 lb Grnd beef, (up to 4)
- 6 lrg Cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 med Onion, finely minced
- 6 quart Canned tomatoes
- 2 lrg Can tomato paste
- 4 Tbsp. Sugar
- 3 Tbsp. Sweet basil
- 3 Tbsp. Oregano Salt and Pepper to taste
- In a LARGE pot brown meat, garlic, and onions.
- Drain.
- Add in tomatoes, paste, and all spices.
- If it seems too thick add in a can of water.
- Simmer at least 2 hrs, stirring occasionally.
- During the last hour check the thickness and add in water if you feel the need.
- This can be kept in sealed jars in the fridge for 4-5 weeks without the grnd beef.
- It can also be canned or possibly frzn without the grnd beef.
