Bolognese Sauce (Meat Sauce) Recipe

  1. In a large pot lightly brown garlic in extra virgin olive oil and throw away.
  2. Add in onion, celery and carrot and sauteeuntil translucent/soft.
  3. Add in meat and lightly brown stirring often.
  4. Add in tomato paste and simmer 1 min Add in tomatoes, tomato puree and water and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hrs stirring often.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve over cooked warm pasta or possibly rice.
  7. *option-instead of 2 c. water, you may add in 1 c. water and 1 c. red wine (dry)
