Mushroom Rolls

  1. Put onion, mushrooms and butter into a frying pan.
  2. Saute until soft and onions are clear.
  3. Add cream cheese in chunks.
  4. Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Stir until cheese melts.
  6. Let stand until completely cool.
  7. Remove crusts from bread.
  8. Roll each slice with rolling pin.
  9. Spread mushroom mixture on each slice and roll up the way you would a jellyroll.
  10. Brush with melted or soft butter.
  11. Place on a tray to freeze.
  12. Store in a plastic bag.
  13. To serve, cut each roll into 4 pieces.
  14. Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet.
  15. Bake in a 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) oven for 10 15 minutes until toasted and hot.
  16. Makes 4 dozen.
