Maple Sausage Balls with Maple Dijon sauce
- 1 cup Shredded Colby-jack Cheese
- 2 cups Baking Mix (such As Bisquick Or Pioneer)
- 1 Tablespoon Tony's Seasoning
- 18 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Chives
- 1 pound Ground Mild Breakfast Sausage
- 1/4 cups Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
- 1/2 cups Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cups Dijon Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a large baking sheet.
- Combine cheese, baking mix, and seasonings into a large bowl.
- Then add and incorporate the sausage with your hands or if you prefer you can use a spoon.
- Trust me its easier with your hands.
- Then add the milk slowly and not all at once.
- Use your judgment about the consistency of the dough.
- If it is too dry add a little more milk, if its too wet then stop adding milk.
- Last but not least, add that delicious maple syrup.
- I know that pure maple syrup can be on the pricey side, so if you cant get it then regular syrup will do just fine.
- Drop the dough onto greased baking sheet by rounded tablespoon fulls (or you can use a cookie dough scoop).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until tops are specked with golden brown.
- Dipping Sauce: Combine the last 3 ingredients and stir well!
- Make sure to refrigerate the sauce until youre ready to eat.
