Apple and Banana Pound Cake Made with Pancake Mix

  1. Peel the apple and slice into thin wedges.
  2. Microwave at 500 W for 3 and 1/2 minutes, then let it cool down.
  3. Mash the banana.
  4. I slice it thinly before mashing it.
  5. Put the apple, banana, margarine, egg and pancake mix into a bowl in that order, and mix.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  7. Pour the batter into a tin lined with parchment paper, and bake for 35-40 minutes at 180C.
  8. Check on it while it's baking, and cover with foil after around 25-30 minutes.
  9. It's done when a skewer poked through the middle comes out clean.
  10. Bake for a little longer if necessary.
  11. Cover it with a moist cloth, and slice it when cooled.
  12. It might be tastier if you leave it a day before eating.
