Honey-Spiced Oregon Hazelnuts

  1. In a saute pan over medium heat, warm olive oil.
  2. Add garlic, cumin, Tabasco and honey.
  3. Stir the mixture; reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Do not burn.
  5. Add the nuts and stir to coat well.
  6. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper or foil.
  7. Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  10. Serve as a snack or as a garnish for soups or salads.
