Bread Custard Pudding Recipe
- 1 quart. lowfat milk
- 2 c. bread cubes
- 3 Large eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tbsp. butter
- Scald the lowfat milk and pour it over the bread that has been cut into 1/2 inch cubes.
- Let stand 10 min.
- Beat the Large eggs, slightly.
- Add in the sugar, salt and vanilla to them.
- Put into a buttered baking dish and add in the lowfat milk and the bread cubes.
- Add in the melted butter and stir to mix well.
- Place the dish in a shallow pan of warm water.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hrs.
