Old-Fashioned Onion Soup
- 3 pounds onions peeled, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 6 slices french bread cubed
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Place sliced onions in Crock-Pot; Stir in cubed bread.
- Add chicken broth to cover; stir well.
- Cover and cool on Low for 10 to 18 hours or on High for 4 to 5 hours, stirring occasionall y. Stir well during last hour.
