Shahana's Basic White (Cream) Lactose-Free Sauce
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 116 teaspoon white pepper
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 116 teaspoon paprika
- 12 cup lactose-free milk
- In small saucepan over very low heat melt margarine.
- Add flour, pepper, salt, paprika.
- Stir until blended and smooth.
- Cook, stirring constantly, for 4-5 minutes to cook the flour.
- Slowly add milk, stirring to avoid lumping.
- Cook, until thickened.
- Add additional seasoning ie dill or curry.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
