Glazed Cranberry-Apple Cobbler
- 1 cup water, divided
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
- 5 Tbsp. sugar, divided
- 4 cooking apples, such as McIntosh or Rome Beauty (1-1/4 lb.), peeled, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.87 thru 02/09
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup all-purpose baking mix
- 1/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Beat 3/4 cup water and flour in large saucepan with whisk until blended.
- Bring to boil on medium heat, whisking constantly.
- (Mixture will be thick.)
- Remove from heat.
- Add dry gelatin mix and 2 Tbsp.
- sugar; stir 2 min.
- until gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Stir in apples and cranberries.
- Spoon into 8- or 9-inch square baking dish.
- Mix baking mix, 2 Tbsp.
- of the remaining sugar, sour cream and remaining water just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Spoon 6 mounds of dough over fruit mixture; sprinkle with combined cinnamon and remaining sugar.
- Bake 35 min.
- or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly.
- Serve topped with COOL WHIP.
