Onion Stuffed Turkey Burgers
- 12 cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons onion soup mix
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 12 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 buns
- Heat olive oil in a small frying pan.
- Add diced onions and saute over low-med heat until translucent.
- Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine soup mix,garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce,salt and pepper.
- Crumble turkey into bowl and mix well.
- Shape turkey mixture into 8 thin patties of the same diameter.
- Spoon sauteed onions and cheese into the center of 4 of the patties.
- Top with the remaining 4 patties.
- Press firmly to seal edges or you will have a mess.
- Grill burgers over low-med heat till the juices run clear approx 5-7 minutes per side, but it depends on your preference.
- Serve on buns.
