Double-Stacked Grilled Cheese
- 6 slices Your Favorite Bread (I Like Multi-grain Bread)
- 6 Tablespoons Sweet Cream Butter, Softened
- 4 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 4 slices Provolone Cheese
- 4 slices Monterey Pepper Jack Cheese
- Using a griddle pan, liberally spray the pan with cooking spray and heat on medium/low heat.
- Add butter to one side of each slice of bread (6 slices).
- Place bread on the griddle buttered side down.
- Onto 2 slices of bread, add 1 piece of each cheese (cheddar, provolone, Monterey Jack pepper).
- Allow cheese to melt a bit and the other pieces of bread to toast a bit.
- Then add a second piece of bread (butter toasted side up) on top of the first layer.
- Add all three cheeses to the top and add your final buttered toasted bread slice (butter toasted side up) to the top.
- Flip the sandwiches carefully.
- I usually will cover sandwiches once both outside pieces are toasted and assembled.
- Then allow it to cook for a few minutes to really melt the cheeses.
- Remove them from the griddle with a spatula onto 2 plates and cut in half.
- Makes 2 double-stacked sandwiches!
- Serve with a side of chips, or pickles, if you like.
- They are gooey and scrumptious!
- Enjoy.
