BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar Burgers

  1. Mix ground beef, bacon bits, cheese and 3/4 cup (175 mL) of the barbecue sauce (or 2 Tbsp.
  2. 30 mL of the barbecue sauce for trial recipe).
  3. Shape into 24 (1/2-inch-thick) patties (or shape into 4 patties for trial recipe).
  4. Grill on medium-high heat 8 min.
  5. or until done (160 degrees F), turning after 4 min.
  6. and brushing with 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp.
  7. of the remaining barbecue sauce (or brushing with 3 Tbsp.
  8. of the remaining barbecue sauce for trial recipe).
  9. Keep warm until ready to serve.
  10. For each serving: Grill buns 1 min.
  11. or until toasted.
  12. Brush cut sides with about 1 Tbsp.
  13. of the remaining barbecue sauce.
  14. Fill bun with 1 each lettuce leaf, tomato slice and burger.
