Sesame and Soy Milk Hot Pot
- 200 grams Thinly sliced pork
- 1 Aburaage
- 1/2 block Tofu
- 2 leaves Chinese cabbage
- 4 cm Daikon radish
- 4 cm Carrot
- 4 Shiitake mushrooms
- 1 packet Shimeji mushrooms
- 1/2 bunch Chinese chives
- 1/2 Japanese leeks
- 1000 ml Soy milk
- 3 tbsp Sesame seed paste (tahini)
- 3 tbsp or more MIso
- 3 tbsp Sake
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Chicken soup stock (powder)
- 1 tsp Grated garlic
- Chop all the ingredients into small sizes so that they cook through easily.
- Mix together the ingredients.
- Pour soy milk into the pot and heat over medium heat.
- Add the seasoning sauce from Step 2.
- Add the vegetables, starting with those that take longer to cook.
- Once they are almost cooked, add the Chinese chives and leeks.
- Cover with a lid and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
