Moms Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Tomatoes

  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  3. Drain and rinse.

  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Put tomatoes with juice into a large casserole dish.
  6. Mash the tomatoes lightly with fingers until the tomatoes are in pieces.

  8. Add 3/4 of the shredded cheddar cheese to the tomatoes.

  10. Add cooked macaroni.
  11. Salt and pepper to taste.

  13. Mix in cooked breakfast links if using.

  15. Top the macaroni mixture with the remaining cheddar cheese.

  17. Bake at 375 degrees F for 35-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are crispy.
  18. If you are not using the breakfast sausage, serve with fish sticks.
