Swirly Cakes

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180c/gas 6.
  2. Put 12 paper cases in a baking tray.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and mix in well.
  5. Fold in the flour and salt with a spoon.
  6. Add vanilla essence.
  7. Add a few drops of food colouring and swirl round with a knife.
  8. Spoon mixture into paper cases and bake for 15 mins Ice if you want to, using icing sugar and lemon juice.
  9. Sprinkle with 100s and 1000s.
