Slow-Cooked Chili
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 12 cup onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (16 ounce) cans dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 (16 ounce) canslight red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (15 ounce) can pizza sauce
- 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- Transfer to a 5-quart slow cooker, stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
