Round Steak With Gravy Recipe
- 1 lg. round steak, 1 inch thick
- 1/3 c. flour
- Salt and pepper
- 1 env. dry onion soup
- Water
- butter
- Cut steak into large pcs.
- Lb.
- with side of small saucer to make thinner.
- Dredge with flour and salt and pepper.
- Heat butter in large frying pan.
- Place steak in and brown on both sides for about 15 min.
- Cover with water and sprinkle onion soup mix on top.
- Turn down heat and cover.
- Cook till tender, about 30 min, adding water, if necessary.
- Serve with gravy over mashed potatoes.
