Herbed Beef Rolades Recipe
- 1/2 c. minced celery
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. dry stuffing mix (12 ounce.)
- 6 cube steaks
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1 env. onion soup mix
- 16 ounce. can or possibly 1 pound fresh wax or possibly green beans
- 16 ounce. stewed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp. flour
- Cotton string (feed sack string is good)
- Saute/fry celery and bell pepper in butter.
- When they become transparent, set aside.
- Roll each steak with 1/4 c. dry stuffing mix inside and tie with clean cotton string.
- Brown in warm shortening.
- In large skillet heat soup mix and 1 1/2 c. water.
- Add in beans, tomatoes, celery, peppers and steak rolls.
- Cook till tender.
- Remove meat and vegetables from liquid.
- To liquid, add in 1 Tbsp.
- flour to make gravy.
