Dad's Ballpark salad
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 cup diced Swiss cheese
- 1 lb frankfurters (or any other kind of sausage)
- 4 hard cooked eggs, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
- 1/2 cup sliced celery
- 1 1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 head lettuce, rinsed and torn apart
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
- If made ahead, cover and refrigerate until the next day.
- Arrange meat on cooking grate.
- Place lid on grill.
- Cook, turning once halfway through cooking time, until meat is browned and hot throughout (2 to 4 minutes).
- Slice sausages diagonally 3/4 inch thick.
- On a platter, arrange lettuce, cheese, eggs, pickles, celery, tomatoes, and onion in 7 separate rows.
- Serve with mayonnaise mixture.
