Bread Pudding New Orleans Style Recipe

  1. Soak bread in lowfat milk; crush with hands till well mixed and crumbled.
  2. Beat Large eggs in separate bowl; gradually add in sugar, vanilla and raisins; stir well.
  3. Pour butter into bottom of shallow 3 qt baking pan.
  4. Add in mix to bread-lowfat milk combination and blend together till bread is completely soaked.
  5. Pour into baking pan, allowing butter to rise to top.
  6. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till pudding is hard and slightly golden brown.
  7. Let cold.
  8. Serve with Whiskey Sauce.
