Pear and Maple-Sauced Pork Chops

  1. In a medium bowl, combine pear, onion, syrup, butter and ginger; mix well.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat over medium-high heat until hot.
  5. Add pork chops.
  6. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until browned.
  7. Pour pear mixture over pork chops.
  8. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 12-15 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink.
  9. Place pork chops on serving platter; cover to keep warm.
  10. Cook sauce over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring constantly.
  11. Stir in maple flavor.
  12. Spoon sauce over chops.
