Curd rice
- 1 cup rice (cooked, perfect for leftover rice)
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 salt
- 1/2 tsp tumeric powder
- 4 tbsp curd or yoghurt (i usually make mine at home, dont like ready made?
- 3 green chillies (optional)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- Add about a table spoon of oil into a pan and add the cumin and mustard seeds, let it cook until they start to sizzle and add the onions.
- Cook until transparent
- Add the garlic and allow to cook for approc 30secs, add the curd, salt, chillies and tumeric powder.
- Mix until salt is dissolved.
- Add the rice, mix it all up until the rice is covered.
- Allow to cook for about 1 minute.
- Voila, the rice is cooked.
- Pairs up with anythinnnnngggg or can be eaten on its own
- You can even add veggies to it, use brown rice, add some potatoes and you are good to go
