Carol's Sketti Sauce
- 1 pound beef, sirloin steak ground
- 1 pound porterhouse steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 medium onions chopped
- 2 each leeks sliced
- 6 tablespoons garlic minced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can chicken broth
- 2 cans water
- 4 each celery stalks
- 1 each green bell peppers
- 1 each sweet red bell peppers
- 10 large mushrooms
- 113 tablespoons oregano
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 23 tablespoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons cilantro dried
- 4 tablespoons parsley leaves dried
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 each bay leaves
- Brown meat.
- Simmer with the stockpot cover OFF for 6 or more hours.
- Of course, you can use sooner.
- I like it to cook down and thicken.
- Either way it is very good.
- Add rest of ingredients and simmer.
