Sunburst Pie

  1. Mix base cake, sugar and butter until well blended.
  2. Press 1-3/4 cups of the crumb mixture firmly onto bottom and up side of each of 5 (9-inch) pie pans.
  3. Refrigerate until firm.
  4. Meanwhile, dissolve gelatin in hot water.
  5. Refrigerate 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  6. Fold in whipped topping.
  7. (Do not over mix.)
  8. Spread 2-1/2 cups of the gelatin mixture into each crust.
  9. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  10. Cut each pie into 8 wedges to serve.
