Churros with Strawberry Dipping Sauce

  1. Blend strawberries and drink mix in blender until smooth.
  2. Strain into bowl to remove seeds.
  3. Set strained strawberry sauce aside for later use.
  4. Bring water, 3 Tbsp.
  5. sugar and butter to boil in medium saucepan on medium-high heat.
  6. Add flour; cook and stir on low heat 1 min.
  7. or until mixture pulls away from side of pan.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Add eggs; beat until blended.
  10. Stir in vanilla.
  11. Spoon into pastry bag fitted with large star tip.
  12. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon in shallow bowl.
  13. Heat oil in deep fryer to 350 degrees F. Pipe dough, in batches, into 5-inch-long strips into hot oil; cook 3 min.
  14. or until evenly browned, turning after 1 min.
  15. Remove from oil with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels.
  16. Add warm churros, 1 at a time, to cinnamon mixture; toss to evenly coat.
  17. Serve churros with strawberry sauce.
