Baked Indian Spiced Salmon
- 2 pounds Salmon Fillet
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Coriander Powder
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 Tablespoon Canola Or Vegetable Oil
- 3 Tablespoons Cilantro, Minced, Plus More For Garnish
- 4 cloves Garlic
- Mashed Potatoes Or Rice, To Serve
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Rinse the salmon fillet in cold water and pat dry.
- Line a baking sheet or glass pyrex dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Place salmon fillet on dish.
- Sprinkle half the salt evenly on the salmon and flip the salmon.
- Sprinkle the remaining half of the salt.
- In a small bowl, mix coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and canola oil.
- Grate the fresh garlic and add to this mixture.
- Whisk.
- It will form a thick marinade.
- Brush this on the salmon and and bake for about 12 minutes till salmon is opaque and flaky.
- Garnish with cilantro, and serve warm with mashed potatoes or rice.
