old world style sandwich
- 2 loaf french bread
- 8 oz provolone cheese
- 8 oz mortadella
- 8 oz capicola
- 8 oz salami
- 1 large vine ripened tomato sliced into 8 slices
- 1 onion slice super thin
- 2 cup torn lettuce
- 2/3 cup sliced pepper rings pepperconi, banana, or Greek
- 1 balsamic vinaigrette
- 1 tbsp fresh oregano leaves
- 1 tsp smashed garlic
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 butter for bread
- 1 nonstick spray for skillet
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- cut the loaves into half then length wise
- butter bread on cut side spay skillet with non stick spray wait till skillet is hot "fry" the bread till slightly brown on cut side turn over for 20-30 seconds remove to plate repeat till done
- add balsamic vinaigrette to cut Soderbergh of bread add cheese while bread is hot then meat and so on tomatoes on top if you have extra pepper rings use them as garnish
