Turkey Pot Pie Recipe
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 2/3 c. light cream
- 3-4 c. cut up cooked turkey
- 1 tbsp. minced pimento
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce; optional
- Cook and stir onion in butter in large saucepan till tender.
- Blend in baking mix, salt, and pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring till mix is bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Chicken broth can be made by dissolving 2 chicken bouillon cubes in 2 c. boiling water or possibly use canned chicken broth.
- Pour filling into ungreased baking dish, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2.
- Keep warm in oven while preparing topping.
