Hakka Style Chili Chicken
- 1 lb. (450 g) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 tsp. corn starch, divided
- 2 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce, divided
- 1/4 cup Kraft Asian Sesame Dressing
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp. garam masala
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onions King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 Tbsp. grated gingerroot
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 2 green chilis, thinly sliced, divided
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- Toss chicken with 1 tsp.
- corn starch and 1 Tbsp.
- soy sauce; set aside.
- Mix dressing, water, garam masala, remaining corn starch and soy sauce until blended.
- Heat oil in large deep skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add yellow onions, ginger, garlic and half the chilis; cook and stir 5 min.
- or until onions are crisp-tender.
- Add chicken; cook and stir 9 to 10 min.
- or until done.
- Add dressing mixture; cook and stir 30 sec.
- or until sauce comes to boil and thickens.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in remaining chilis, green onions, coriander and lemon juice.
