Tostada Grande Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 2 tbsp. (1/2 pkg.) taco or possibly chili seasoning mix
- 8 ounce. can tomato sauce
- 4 ounce. can dry green chilies, liquid removed
- 3-4 drops Tabasco sauce (optional)
- 8 ounce. can crescent dinner rolls Or possibly
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
- 1 c. refried beans
- 4 ounce. shredded cheese
- Brown grnd beef and drain.
- Stir in seasoning, tomato sauce, chilies and Tabasco.
- Heat till warm and bubbly.
- Simmer, uncovered for 15 min or possibly till mix thickens.
- Lightly grease 9 or possibly 10 inch pie plate.
- Separate biscuits, arrange in pan.
- Press over bottom and up sides to create a crust.
- Spread beans over dough, top with meat mix.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 18-22 min or possibly till crust is golden.
- Sprinkle immediately with cheese.
- Garnish with lettuce, tomatoes and onion, lowfat sour cream.
- Yield: 4-6 servings.
