Meat Pie
- 2 pounds Ground Pork
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 2 whole Large Onions, Chopped
- 5 cups Water, Divided
- 2 Tablespoons Sausage Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Pepper
- 1 pinch Sage
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 3/4 cups Flour
- 4 whole Pie Crusts In Pie Pans
- 4 packages Rolled Pie Crust
- Cook meat and onions in a big soup pot until meat is no longer pink.
- Add 4 cups of the water, heat to a boil.
- Add seasonings.
- Dissolve flour in the remaining 1 cup of water.
- Slowly add water and flour mixture to the boiling meat and seasoning pot, stirring constantly.
- Pour into 4 prepared pie pans (with crust).
- Top with rolled pie crust.
- Cut slits in the top crust.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Eat right away or freeze.
- These freeze beautifully.
- To reheat pie after freezing, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
