Chicken With Orange Sauce And Onion Recipe

  1. Use a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  2. Coat chicken pcs with flour.
  3. Sprinkle with 1/4 tsp.
  4. salt and some freshly grnd pepper.
  5. In a heavy skillet, heat the oil and brown the chicken in several batches.
  6. Cook till golden.
  7. Each side should take about 5 min.
  8. Place pcs in baking dish and cover with orange zest.
  9. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  10. Put oil in frying pan and cook onions till translucent/soft.
  11. Stir in thyme and remaining 1/4 tsp.
  12. of salt and spread the mix over the chicken.
  13. Pour the orange and lemon juice, honey and wine into the frying pan.
  14. Bring liquid to a boil and reduce it to about 1 c.. Pour liquid over chicken.
  15. Cook chicken, uncovered, in oven.
  16. Baste once.
  17. Cook for about 35 min.
  18. Check chicken by piercing a thigh with a sharp knife.
  19. The juices should run clear.
