Southern-Style Collard Greens

  1. In medium pot, combine water, onion, bay leaf, allspice, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tamari, cumin and honey.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Add collard greens and return to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until greens are tender, about 30 minutes.
  5. Remove pot from heat; cool slightly.
  6. Remove bay leaf and stir in oil.
  7. Add salt, pepper and cayenne to taste.
  8. Serve hot.
