Fall Bounty Rice with Sweet Potatoes and Mixed Grains
- 1 packet Zakkoku or mixed-grain mix for cooking with rice
- 360 ml Uncooked white rice
- 1/2 Japanese sweet potato
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 to finish Gomashio (sesame salt)
- Peel the sweet potato, cut into bite sized pieces, and put in a bowl of water.
- Rinse the rice, put into the bowl of the rice cooker, add water up to the 2 cup level, and leave to soak.
- Add the mixed grains.
- Add a pinch of salt, mix lightly, put the sweet potato pieces on top and switch on the cooker.
- When it's cooked, transfer to rice bowls, sprinkle with some sesame salt and enjoy!
