Classic Stuffed Peppers

  1. Brown meat with onion in large skillet on medium heat.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce, salad dressing mix and rice; stir until well blended.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Cut tops off pepper; remove seeds.
  5. Mix remaining tomato sauce and 1 tbsp.
  6. water in small oven-proof dish.
  7. Place pepper, cut side up, in dish.
  8. Spoon meat mixture into pepper; cover with foil.
  9. Bake at 400° F for 35 to 40 minutes or until pepper is tender.
  10. Spoon sauce from bottom of dish over peppers just before serving.
  11. Toss mandarin oranges with toasted pecans for a crunchy and refreshing dessert.
