Mrs. Flanigan's Chili Sauce
- 20 cups tomatoes
- 9 medium onions, chopped
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 2 bunches celery, chopped
- 1 14 cups cider vinegar
- 4 hot peppers, chopped
- 5 cups brown sugar
- 13 cup pickling salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon allspice
- 1 tablespoon clove
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 3 peaches
- 3 pears
- 3 apples
- Scald the tomatoes then skin.
- Chop tomatoes and add to next thirteen ingredients.
- Bring to a boil then simmer for 3 hours.
- Peel and cook peaches, pears and apples.
- Add to tomato mixture at any time.
- Prepare bottles for canning and fill to top.
