Italian Sausage & Pepper Croquettes
- 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 each green and red pepper, chopped
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
- Crumble sausage into medium skillet; cook on medium heat until evenly browned, stirring occasionally.
- Add peppers; cook 8 min.
- or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
- Cool.
- Meanwhile, prepare stuffing as directed on package.
- Place bread crumbs in shallow dish.
- Combine sausage mixture, stuffing and egg; mix well.
- Shape into 16 patties, using about 1/4 cup sausage mixture for each.
- Add sausage patties, 1 at a time, to bread crumbs; turn to evenly coat both sides of each patty with crumbs.
- Cook patties, in batches, in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium heat 4 to 5 min.
- on each side or until patties are golden brown and heated through, respraying skillet with cooking spray between batches if needed.
- Meanwhile, mix mayo and mustard until blended.
- Serve sausage patties with mayo mixture.
