Artichoke Cream Cheese Dip W/ Toasted Bread Squares
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 3 ounces half jar of marinated quartered artichoke hearts
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese (and a little to sprinkle on top)
- 3 slices bread (I used whole grain, sprouting bread)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Preheat oven to 400F Place a sheet of foil on oven rack.
- In a small, round baking dish combine the cream cheese and artichoke hearts with a spoon.
- Stir in parmesan cheese, garlic salt & pepper until well combined.
- Sprinkle parmesan on top.
- Set aside.
- Cut the 3 slices of bread into quarters.
- Drizzle each quarter with olive oil.
- Sparingly sprinkle a little garlic powder and cayenne pepper onto each quarter.
- Place baking dish in oven for approximately 10-12 minutes.
- Place bread quarters directly on foil and heat with baking dish for approximately 5-8 minutes.
- Turn on broiler and broil until dip is browning and bread is toasty.
