Teriyaki Chicken
- 1 broiler-fryer chicken, 2-3 lbs
- 23 cup soy sauce
- 12 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons sherry wine
- 1 teaspoon msg (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 slice fresh ginger, minced
- Cut up chicken into serving pieces.
- Combine all other ingredients and marinate chicken for 4-5 hours or overnight.
- Broil chicken, basting 2 times on each side and turning once.
- Variation: 1 teaspoons grated orange peel can be added or used instead of ginger.
