Fresh Green Peas With Pearl Onions

  1. Place unpeeled onions in a small saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Drain.
  3. Let cool, then peel.
  4. Combine all ingredients in a small heavy saucepan with a tight-fitting cover.
  5. Add 3 tablespoons of water, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
  6. Do not overcook.
