Green Pea and Bacon Soup

  1. Put the split peas in a large saucepan and cover with the stock.
  2. Add bacon, garlic, tomatoes and onion.
  3. Season well.
  4. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour until peas and bacon are soft.
  5. Add potatoes and cook for another 20 minutess (add more stock if needed or if you like a thinner soup).
  6. Blend in a food processor to your desired smoothness and reheat to serve.
