CrackerBarrel Dumplins
- 8 cups flour
- 8 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup oil
- 4 cups shredded chicken
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 14 cup flour
- 12 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 chicken bouillon
- 34 cup chicken stock
- Divide Shredded chicken into 4 freezer bags.
- mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and oil.
- knead dough.
- roll out 1/2 in and cut into 1x1 or 2x2 inch squares.
- place on pan and flash freeze.
- seperate into 4 bags and freeze".
- Pull from freezer - need pot of boiling water put frozen dumplins in water in batches.
- When dumplin is fluffy strain from water and set aside until sauce is ready.
- Sauce; melt butter in large pan then add salt & 1/4 flour stir until thickened.
- Mix 1/2 tsp Sugar with 1 cup milk then pour into pan while stirring a little at a time.
- Whisk with wooden spoon until smooth.
- Add chicken and 3/4 cup chicken stock and heat until boiling.
- Reduce heat and add dumplins - stir and let warm dumplins.
- Serve.
